Riyadh: The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cleveland Clinic, one of the world's leading non-profit academic medical centers, to collaborate on clinical, operational, educational, and research initiatives related to autism and neurosciences. This step reflects KFSHRC's commitment to expanding its international partnerships to pursue medical excellence and innovation in patient care.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the agreement was signed at KFSHRC's headquarters in Riyadh by KFSHRC CEO Dr. Majid Alfayyadh and CEO and President of Cleveland Clinic Dr. Tomislav Mihaljevic.
The MoU outlines the two parties' intent to establish a long-term collaboration framework in the fields of autism and neurosciences. This includes forming dedicated project teams to jointly assess and prioritize potential collaborative opportunities, with the aim of strengthening KFSHRC's leadership in delivering specialized healthcare.
This partnership comes as part of KFSHRC's broader direction to build high-impact global collaborations focused on knowledge exchange and capacity building, efforts that support the development of research, education, and workforce capabilities. The initiative aligns with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program, one of the Vision 2030 programs, which seeks to enable equitable access to high-quality healthcare with a strong focus on preventive care.
