King Salman Reserve Partners with Houbara Foundation for Wildlife Conservation

Riyadh: The King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Houbara Conservation Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance collaboration in environmental protection and wildlife development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU focuses on biodiversity conservation efforts through programs aimed at restoring and reintroducing houbara birds. It includes strategies to protect their natural habitats and create safe flight corridors to sustain their populations.

The agreement also outlines joint monitoring, survey, and scientific research initiatives, along with studies on the genetic diversity of houbara birds. Additionally, both parties will exchange data and scientific expertise to leverage best practices in conserving and restoring the species.
