Riyadh:The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully distributed a total of 11,334 food baskets to displaced people and host communities across several governorates in Yemen. This distribution took place from September 10 to 24, 2026, as part of the second phase of the emergency food interventions program.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the distribution included 5,798 food baskets for individuals displaced by recent events in districts along Yemen's western coast, specifically in the Al-Hodeidah and Taiz governorates. These baskets reached 23 displacement camps located in the governorates of Aden, Abyan, Taiz, and Lahj, assisting 43,195 individuals from 5,798 families.
Additionally, 5,536 food baskets were provided to the most vulnerable families and displaced individuals in the districts of Hadhramaut Governorate, benefiting 38,752 people.
Mohammed Al-Sanou, Deputy Governor of Taiz Governorate and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Relief Committee, praised KSrelief's significant humanitarian efforts. He commended the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continued support to the Yemeni people during various crises.
