Riyadh: Malian Deputy Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maiga has emphasized that the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people necessitates an active role to put an end to these hostile actions. His statement was made during the Extraordinary Arab and Islamic Summit in Riyadh. According to Saudi Press Agency, Maiga stressed the importance of returning to stability and calm in the region while preserving lives. He reaffirmed Mali's support for the Palestinian people and their cause, advocating for their right to self-determination by establishing an independent state with east Jerusalem as its capital. The deputy prime minister also highlighted the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC's) significant role in this regard, noting the necessity of cooperation among Islamic countries to enhance solidarity and achieve peace.
