Riyadh:Mauritania has issued a strong condemnation of the recent attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in fatalities and left hundreds injured.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Mauritania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Sunday calling for the international community to take responsibility and adopt a clear and firm stance against such acts of violence. The statement emphasized the importance of preventing future occurrences and holding perpetrators accountable under international law to ensure civilian protection and regional stability.
Mauritania expressed its unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for the Kingdom in facing threats to its security and the safety of its citizens and residents. The statement highlighted that attacks on civilian infrastructure and the endangerment of innocent lives are severe breaches of international law and civilian protection principles, necessitating a decisive global response.
Furthermore, Mauritania extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished those injured a swift recovery.
