Makkah: The scouts of the Ministry of Sport launched their activities on Sunday for the Hajj season 1447 AH, as part of the pilgrims' dispatching program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, to participate in and support organizational efforts and crowd management at the holy sites, contributing to enhancing the pilgrims' experience and facilitating their movement to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the participation of the Ministry of Sport scouts aims to support crowd-flow efforts at the holy sites, provide guidance and assistance to pilgrims, contribute to organizing the movement of crowds, and strengthen integration with government agencies serving pilgrims during the Hajj season.
The participation is carried out by 28 scout teams distributed across several camps. The total number of participants in the program amounts to 801, assigned to various fields and supervisory tasks, including 681 monitors, 96 coordinators, and 24 supervisors.
The Ministry of Sport's scout teams are serving 614 camps in Mina, in addition to 133 in Arafat, with 113 participants deployed there.
This participation comes as an extension of the ministry's role in serving pilgrims, reinforcing the presence of its personnel and scout teams in the field and volunteer work, reflecting the values of giving and responsibility, and in full integration with the various entities engaged in the Hajj season.
