Municipalities Ministry Logs 30,000 Reports, 4,500 Daily Inspections in Makkah, Holy Sites During Hajj 1447 AH

Makkah: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has activated an integrated around-the-clock monitoring and field response system in Makkah and the holy sites during the 1447 AH Hajj season, enhancing the speed of handling reports and improving operational coordination efficiency at vital locations.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry noted that the system receives nearly 30,000 reports through the Balady platform and its associated operational channels. It added that field teams conduct more than 4,500 operational inspection tours daily, in addition to monitoring and addressing some 2,000 observations each day, enhancing field readiness and supporting rapid decision-making in high-density areas. The ministry stressed that the monitoring system relies on the integration of operations rooms, field teams, and digital monitoring systems to ensure the continuity of municipal services and improve response efficiency during the season.

Health and food safety efforts were also intensified through more than 2,800 inspection visits daily and five advanced laboratories with an operational capacity of up to 1,300 samples per day. The ministry also highlighted the readiness of the accommodation center system in the holy sites, with a capacity of up to 45,000 pilgrims under emergency and field response plans during the season.
