Music Commission Holds First Graduation Ceremony for Bait Al Oud Students in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Music Commission held the first graduation ceremony for students of Bait Al Oud in Riyadh, marking the culmination of an educational journey. The ceremony featured a series of performances that reflected the graduates' artistic development and took place at the Literary Club in Riyadh. It also highlighted the commission's continued efforts to make music education accessible to all and empower practitioners, contributing to building a sustainable music ecosystem and creating career pathways that support the growth of the music sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, established by the Music Commission in September 2023 and led by musician Dr. Naseer Shamma, Bait Al Oud in Riyadh is a specialized center for teaching musical instruments and one of several branches in Arab countries. The center aims to discover talents and hone their abilities through educational and training programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical instruction under the guidance of experienced musicians and specialists.

CEO of the Music Commission Paul Pacifico stated that the ceremony marked an important step toward achieving the commission's strategic vision of expanding access to music education, discovering national talents, and developing their capabilities. He added that preparing graduates to share their knowledge and expertise would extend the impact of these efforts, strengthen the music education ecosystem, and support the growth of the sector in the Kingdom.
