Over 3,500 Personnel Gain Cybersecurity Skills During Hajj Season

Riyadh: Over 3,500 employees from national entities involved in this year's Hajj season have benefited from cybersecurity awareness sessions. The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) disclosed this information, emphasizing the importance of digital security awareness, the development of a robust cybersecurity culture, and the reinforcement of national security values.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is a vital component of the Cybersecurity Enhancement Program for the 1447 AH Hajj season. The program aims to bolster cybersecurity measures during Hajj and support national efforts by utilizing all available resources to provide optimal services to pilgrims.

The awareness sessions focused on the significance of cybersecurity at a national level, detailing the roles and responsibilities of entities and individuals in maintaining digital security. Participants learned about protective behaviors against cyber risks, the users' role in improving cybersecurity, and other pertinent topics. These sessions targeted leaders, executives, cybersecurity specialists, and employees across various levels of national entities involved in the Hajj season.

The program featured 19 specialized awareness sessions aimed at fostering the integration of cybersecurity awareness among national entities. This initiative is pivotal in strengthening national cybersecurity, mitigating risks, building trust, and enabling growth. It ultimately supports the development of a secure and dependable Saudi cyberspace, promoting prosperity and sustainable development.
