Princess Nourah University Organizes MUN Simulation Conference

Riyadh: Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University is organizing the first edition of the Model United Nations (MUN) Simulation Conference on April 17-19, with the participation of more than 130 students from Riyadh's universities and high schools.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference seeks to empower participants by developing research and analytical skills, negotiation, and problem-solving, and contributing to developing basic skills, such as public speaking, critical thinking, and a conceptual understanding of international affairs. The conference will discuss a number of topics through the simulation of five UN committees dealing with global issues, including humanitarian crises and conflicts within the framework of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) committee which focuses on the study of the management of medical materials in accordance with international controls.
