Riyadh: The Public Consultation Platform "Istitlaa" of the National Competitiveness Center (NCC) has put forward 12 projects related to economic and development affairs. In cooperation with 11 government bodies, the NCC invites the general public, government entities, and the private sector to express their views and feedback on projects prior to their approval.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Ministry of Investment has launched a public consultation project titled 'Guidelines for Procedures to Control Violations of the Investment Law and Its Implementing Regulations,' which aims to define the procedures that enforcement officers must follow when an investor commits any violation of the provisions of the Investment Law, its Implementing Regulations, or the violations set out in the Investor Guide. Public feedback on both projects will be accepted until January 18, 2026.
The Ministry of Tourism has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled 'Regulations for Leasing Units to Intermediaries in Tourist Hospitality Facilities.' This project aims to improve operational efficiency, strengthen market trust, and safeguard the interests of all stakeholders. Public feedback on the project is open until January 19, 2026.
The Saudi Water Authority is seeking public feedback on a project titled 'Bulk Purchase Requirements for Water, Sewage and Self-Distribution Services,' which aims to regulate the relationship between the water service provider and the large beneficiary in a way that ensures clarity of service boundaries and responsibility, raises the efficiency of delivery and self-distribution, ensures water sustainability, and achieves fairness and transparency in service provision. Public consultation on both projects will remain open until January 23, 2026.
The release added that the Communications, Space and Technology Commission has put forward a key project on the Istitlaa platform titled 'National Frequency Plan.' This project aims to provide the public with an opportunity to submit their views and comments on the proposed amendments to the National Spectrum Plan. Public feedback on the project is open until January 25, 2026.
The introduction of draft regulations, publics, and similar projects through the Istitlaa platform serves as an affirmation of enhanced transparency in the legislative environment. In addition, Istitlaa fosters a culture of public participation by enabling citizens, government agencies, and the private sector to contribute their insights and feedback on proposed regulations related to the business environment.
