Qassim Enhances Tourism with Expanded Green and Leisure Infrastructure

Riyadh: Qassim Region continues to strengthen its position as a tourism and leisure destination through an integrated network of parks, gardens, and public facilities that offer diverse options for residents and visitors, enriching recreational experiences across its cities and governorates. According to Saudi Press Agency, the region continues to develop its public infrastructure and expand entertainment options, including green spaces, open areas, cafés, restaurants, cinemas, and entertainment centers, enhancing its appeal to visitors seeking varied leisure experiences. Public parks remain among the most prominent destinations, with Buraidah featuring 72 parks distributed across neighborhoods, including Al-Aqilat, Al-Hamra, and Al-Abraj, while Al-Ashrafiyah Park in Unaizah offers extensive green spaces for recreation. As part of enhancing public spaces, Qassim Municipality has established 41 walking tracks totaling over 44,000 meters, contributing to improved urban aesthetics and better use of open areas . Restaurants and cafés have also upgraded their outdoor seating with aesthetic elements such as fountains, landscaping, and mist systems, creating more comfortable and attractive environments. These efforts reflect an integrated development approach aimed at improving quality of life and reinforcing Qassim's status as a leading domestic tourism destination throughout the year.
