Riyadh: The Saudi Physics Team secured four international awards at this year's Nordic-Baltic Physics Olympiad (NBPhO 2026), held in its 23rd edition in Tallinn, Republic of Estonia, from April 24 to 26, with the participation of 120 students representing 13 countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the awards included two bronze medals won by Ridaa Salem Al-Khamis from the General Administration of Education in Al-Ahsa Governorate and Mohammed Mahmoud Al-Raml from the General Administration of Education in the Eastern Region. Additionally, two honorable mentions were awarded to Mohammed Nasser Al-Ali from the Eastern Region Education Department and Nasser Hisham Al-Shaye from the General Administration of Education in the Riyadh Region.
With this achievement, Saudi Arabia's tally in the NBPhO has risen to 29 international awards, including two gold medals, 10 silver medals, 12 bronze medals, and five honorable mentions, achieved across seven participations since the Kingdom's debut in 2020.
