Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative: UN Digital Government Center in Riyadh Reflects Kingdom’s Leadership in Digital Transformation

Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, affirmed that the recent agreement between the Digital Government Authority (DGA) and the United Nations to establish a global digital government center in Riyadh underscores the Kingdom's commitment to advancing international digital transformation and utilizing modern technologies to aid sustainable development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Alwasil emphasized that the choice of Riyadh as the host city for this global center signifies the Kingdom's remarkable strides in digital government and technological innovation, achievements made under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030. The ambassador highlighted this development as a demonstration of the leadership's dedication to fostering international collaboration and building effective partnerships with the United Nations and its associated agencies.

Alwasil further explained that the center is poised to facilitate knowledge exchange, capacity building, and multilateral cooperation in digital transformation.
