Diriyah:A military parade was held in Diriyah as part of the Saudi National Day celebrations, organized by the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior. This event honored the values of unity and national pride, reflecting the journey of unifying the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the parade progressed toward Wadi Hanifah via Imam Abdulaziz bin Saud Road, led by soldiers on horseback in orderly ranks. This procession symbolized horsemanship and solidarity with the presence of security personnel.
The parade route highlighted symbols tied to Diriyah's rich history. Imam Abdulaziz bin Saud Road, named after one of the imams of the First Saudi State, and Wadi Hanifah, connected with Diriyah's origins and prosperity, were part of the parade's path. These landmarks, combined with the presence of security personnel and horsemen, celebrated the nation's unity.
In addition to the military parade, the festivities included a cycling parade in partnership with the Ministry of Defense, enhancing the national participation in the celebration.
Diriyah, a historic site of state-building, hosted the national parade, merging past traditions with present imagery, particularly in evoking scenes of horsemanship and determination. As part of the DGDA's program, the celebrations also featured events in the historic At-Turaif District and surrounding areas, blending history, place, and national participation in a tribute to the nation's solidarity and collective memory.
