Saudi arabia: Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization outlined the technical requirements that must be met in ihram products, stressing that its textile products laboratory conducts precise tests to verify compliance with Saudi standards, helping improve product quality in the market and enhancing the safety and comfort of pilgrims during the Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the organization said the textile products laboratory specializes in inspecting and testing various types of fabrics and textile products, including ihram products, to ensure compliance with approved technical requirements.
It noted that the upper and lower garments must be equal in dimensions, contain more than 99% cotton fibers, and be free of polyester, stains, and decorative elements inconsistent with Islamic etiquette.
The organization urged consumers to check product labels before purchase and verify basic information, components, and cotton content to help ensure the selection of products compliant with Saudi standards.
