Saudi Volunteer Project Concludes in Port Sudan to Combat Blindness

Port Sudan:The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has successfully completed the "Noor Saudi" volunteer project aimed at combating blindness and related diseases in Port Sudan, Sudan. The initiative took place from September 19 to 26, 2026, with the collaboration of four volunteers from different specialties alongside the Al-Basar International Foundation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the volunteer medical team conducted examinations on 3,281 individuals, performed 450 surgeries—all of which were successful—and distributed 1,063 pairs of medical glasses during the campaign.

This project is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts, provided through KSrelief, to support the health sector and alleviate the suffering of needy and affected populations in various Sudanese states.
