Doha: Arabian Gulf University in the Kingdom of Bahrain signed contracts to provide the information technology system and supply non-medical furniture for the academic hospital at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Medical City, as part of a SAR1 billion grant from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) to establish the medical city.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the project aims to equip the hospital with an information technology system and non-medical furniture to ensure the integrated operation of the medical city and enhance its operational efficiency in line with its development objectives. It reflects SFD's commitment to supporting the health and education sectors.
The cooperation underscores the effective partnership between SFD and Arabian Gulf University to support all phases of the medical city, contributing to excellence in education, scientific research, and innovation, improving the quality of university education, and strengthening the university's position as a leading academic and research institution across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
