Shura Council Speaker Meets with Algerian Foreign Minister

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, met with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf, as part of his visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

During the meeting, the Shura Council Speaker praised Algeria's significant development, pointing to the importance of continuing and activating the bilateral meetings, especially the parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Algerian Parliament.

For his part, the Algerian Foreign Minister welcomed the Speaker of the Shura Council and his accompanying delegation, expressing his aspiration to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries. He also stressed the existence of many opportunities to enhance joint work between them in many fields. Attaf added that the parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Algerian National and People's Assembly are very important and will contribute to raising the bilateral relations between the two countries to broader levels.

The two sides reviewed several issues of common interest between the two countries and ways to develop and strengthen their relations.

The official delegation accompanying the Speaker of the Shura Council attended the meeting.
