Shura Council Speaker Meets with Algerian Foreign Minister

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, met with Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf, as part of his visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

During the meeting, the Shura Council Speaker praised Algeria's significant development, pointing to the importance of continuing and activating the bilateral meetings, especially the parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Algerian Parliament.

For his part, the Algerian Foreign Minister welcomed the Speaker of the Shura Council and his accompanying delegation, expressing his aspiration to strengthen relations and cooperation between the two countries. He also stressed the existence of many opportunities to enhance joint work between them in many fields. Attaf added that the parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Algerian National and People's Assembly are very important and will contribute to raising the bilateral relations between the two countries to broader levels.

The two sides reviewed several issues of common interest between the two countries and ways to develop and strengthen their relations.

Jordan Condemns Storming of Saudi Cultural Attaché Building in Sudan

The Jordanian Government condemned today the armed storming and sabotage of the Saudi Cultural Attaché building in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum.

In a statement, the Jordanian Foreign Ministry expressed Jordan's solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its condemnation and denunciation of all forms of violence and vandalism, in particular acts that target and transgress diplomatic buildings.

The Ministry also stressed the need to respect the rules of international law and relevant international agreements, especially the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Saudi Paralympics Powerlifting Team Wins Eight Medals at World Para Powerlifting World Cup in Georgia

The Saudi Paralympics Powerlifting Team has won eight medals at the World Para Powerlifting World Cup that concluded yesterday in Tbilisi, with the participation of 108 powerlifters representing 24 countries.

The medals were won by the powerlifter Adnan Nour Saeed who achieved two gold medals and a bronze medal in different categories. In addition, Talal Al-Bliwi achieved two silver medals while Ibrahim Mustafa Al-Ibrahim won two bronze medals.
