Sport Ministry Scouts Begin Second Phase of Hajj Program in Madinah Following Completion of Holy Sites Operations

Madinah: The Ministry of Sport's scout teams have concluded the first phase of their participation in the Hajj season of 1447 AH through the "Pilgrim Dispatching Program," implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the holy sites. The program supported organizational efforts, crowd management, and provided guidance and assistance to pilgrims during their stay in the holy sites.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the first phase involved 28 scout teams comprising 801 members, including 681 monitors, 96 coordinators, and 24 supervisors, assigned to various field and supervisory duties. The scout teams served 614 camps in Mina and 133 in Arafat, while also helping organize the movement of pilgrims and supporting dispatch operations, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

The Ministry of Sport's scouts have now begun the second phase of their program in Madinah, which started yesterday and will continue for ten days until June 11. During this phase, they will carry out supporting scouting duties to serve pilgrims and visitors and contribute to guidance and organizational efforts at several locations experiencing high pilgrim traffic, supporting ongoing efforts to provide a smooth and safe experience for visitors.

This participation reflects the Ministry of Sport's commitment to supporting volunteer and scouting work and strengthening the contribution of its personnel to national and humanitarian initiatives. It also embodies the values of giving and social responsibility and highlights the integration among the various entities involved in serving pilgrims.
