Sri lanka: The Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs of the Republic of Sri Lanka awarded Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh the honorary certificate of the custodian of the Holy Quran for 2025, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in serving the Quran and supporting its memorizers.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this certificate is the first of its kind to be granted by the Sri Lankan ministry, honoring a distinguished figure who has contributed to the service of the Holy Quran by organizing three consecutive Quran memorization competitions across Sri Lanka, with nearly 6,000 male and female participants. These competitions have had a profound impact by encouraging Quran memorizers, promoting adherence to its teachings, fostering proper recitation, and spreading values of tolerance and peace.
