Visually Impaired Moroccan Pilgrims Praise Makkah Route Initiative Services in Rabat

Rabat: Visually impaired Moroccan pilgrims departing from Rabat-Sal© Airport expressed their profound gratitude for the comprehensive organizational and humanitarian services provided through the Makkah Route Initiative.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the pilgrims described their experience, noting that 'when sight is absent, the signs of care speak louder than words,' praising the warm welcome and streamlined travel procedures that allowed them to prepare for their Hajj journey with ease and peace of mind.

The pilgrims extended their appreciation to the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, emphasizing that the humane treatment and dedicated support from participating Saudi teams provided them with a deep sense of comfort. They lauded the seamless coordination at the initiative's dedicated airport terminal, which significantly facilitated their departure logistics.

Implemented by the Ministry of Interior for the eighth year, the Makkah Route Initiative operates in cooperation with the ministries of foreign affairs, health, Hajj and Umrah, and media. Additional partners include the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, the General Authority for Awqaf, the Pilgrim Experience Program, the General Directorate of Passports, and digital partner stc group.

Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has served 1,254,994 pilgrims.
