BASEL, Switzerland, March 13, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The PharmaLedger Association™ (PLA), a not-for-profit based in Switzerland, announces the endorsement of its 3-year strategic plan to implement and promote a Digital Trust Ecosystem in healthcare (DTE-H) at its Annual General Meeting held in Lucerne, Switzerland on 1 March 2023. The member organizations also confirmed the appointment of eight Directors to its board, delivering on PLA’s core value of “Ecosystem Leadership.”

Representing the diversity of healthcare, PLA’s founding members comprise of large and small pharmaceutical companies, research organizations, patient representative organizations, non-profit organizations, technology, and healthcare service providers. PLA has confirmed its mandate as a pre-competition umbrella organization delivering common and interoperable digital solutions in the areas of Product TrustDecentralized Clinical Trials, and Supply Chain Traceability.

  • Products & Project: In Q1 2023, PLA will release the first qualified product, electronic Product Information for implementation by its members.
    In Q2 2023, the Association will continue with the development of new products in its innovation xLab, including of a product digital twin, decentralized identities, and verifiable credentials to facilitate visibility, security, traceability, and trust in all areas of healthcare.
  • Governance & Compliance: PLA will leverage its capability to develop, qualify, launch, and maintain products in healthcare’s highly regulated environment by ensuring continuous adherence to antitrust, intellectual property, data privacy, and Computerized System Assurance guidelines.
  • Ecosystem Engagement & Growth: The association will continue to onboard new members and engage with authorities, trade associations and standards development organizations, ensuring growth and financial viability.
  • Platform Technology & Security: PLA will focus on easing adoption of new solutions with its members and users while maintaining the cybersecurity benefits of its architecture.

Departure of 15th Relief Plane within the Saudi Airlift to Help Earthquake Victims in Syria and Turkiye

Riyadh, March 13, 2023, SPA -- The 15th relief plane from Saudi Arabia departed from King Khalid International Airport today, bound for Gaziantep Airport in Turkiye. The aircraft is carrying 85 tons and 346 kgs of shelter materials, including 1,000 shelter tents, 13,329 pieces of clothing, 3,600 blankets, and 3,600 mattresses, to aid the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkiye.

This is part of the Saudi airlift, managed by the KSrelief, and is in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as an embodiment of the Kingdom's humanitarian role.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Receives Ambassador of Bahrain to Saudi Arabia

Hail, March 13, 2023, SPA -- Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Hail Region, received the ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Ali bin Abdurrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, who is visiting the region.

Prince Abdulaziz commended the strong fraternal ties between the two kingdoms, considering them an exemplary model of close relationships. The Governor of Hail Region also welcomed the Bahraini ambassador on his visit to the region and his tour of the archaeological and tourist sites.

In turn, the Bahraini ambassador praised the region's archaeological and heritage treasures and its comprehensive development, expressing gratitude to the Governor of Hail Region for his hospitality and courtesy.

WEF President Discusses Boosting Partnership with Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, March 13, 2023, SPA -- The President of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Mr. Borge Brende, took part in an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to explore opportunities for enhanced cooperation between the Kingdom and WEF.

During the visit, Mr. Brende discussed regional and global economic developments and areas of common interest with representatives from the government, public and private sectors. He also toured the historic At-Turaif District.

The WEF President’s visit followed the Kingdom’s successful participation at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2023 in January, with a high-level delegation led by Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs. The delegation focused on bridging global divides and facilitating near-term stability while driving long-term transformation.

Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning and the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center Sign MoU to Safeguard Water and Financial Sustainability

Riyadh, March 13, 2023, SPA -- The Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) and the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at achieving water and financial sustainability in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The agreement outlines a joint framework for developing and harmonizing the strategic direction of national development priorities and economic policies while enabling decision-making through the preparation of methodologies and studies that support SDGs.

The MoU was signed by the Deputy Minister of Shared Support Services, Eng. Mansour bin Abdullah Alrashed, representing the Ministry of Economy and Planning, and Eng. Fahad bin Huwaizi Aldosari, CEO of the National Water Efficiency and Conservation Center (MAEE).

In a statement, Eng. Mansour Alrashed said, "Through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, we look forward to increasing cooperation in research and innovation to rationalize water use in government facilities and economically impactful sectors. This important initiative will unify efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and help preserve water resources in line with Saudi Vision 2030." Eng. SVC Announces the Increase of Its Investment Capital to SAR 6 Billion and Launches Its New Brand
