Commerce Ministry Conducts Over 23,000 Inspection Tours in Key Hajj Locations

Makkah: The Ministry of Commerce has conducted more than 23,000 preventive inspection tours across Makkah, Madinah, the miqats, and roads leading to the Two Holy Mosques, as well as other holy sites since the start of Dhul-Qi'dah. These inspections are part of the ministry's comprehensive plan for Hajj 1447 AH, aiming to enhance consumer protection, regulate markets, and ensure the availability of essential food supplies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspection tours targeted commercial establishments in critical areas, including the central area and retail outlets at Al-Juhfah Miqat, Yalamlam Miqat, Qarn Al-Manazil Miqat in Al-Sail Al-Kabeer, and Wadi Muharram Miqat. Inspectors focused on verifying the availability of essential goods and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and instructions to provide high-quality services for pilgrims. The inspections also included checks on price clarity and the validity of commercial offers.

The Ministry of Commerce emphasized that these preventive inspection tours will continue in the coming period. This ongoing effort is designed to ensure that commercial establishments maintain compliance with regulations and instructions, thereby contributing to the availability of necessary goods, elevating the level of commercial compliance, and providing effective regulatory services to pilgrims arriving to perform Hajj rituals.
