Makkah: The Ministry of Interior announced that Hajj security forces at the entrances to Makkah apprehended five expatriates and five citizens for violating Hajj regulations and instructions by transporting 34 individuals without permits to perform Hajj.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry issued administrative decisions through its seasonal administrative committees, including fines of up to SAR100,000 for the transporters and those involved in the violations, in addition to imprisonment and public naming. The measures aim to uphold the sanctity and orderliness of the Hajj pilgrimage by ensuring that all participants adhere to the established regulations.

Fines of up to SAR20,000 were also imposed on the transported individuals for attempting to perform Hajj without permits. This highlights the stringent enforcement of rules to prevent unregulated access to the holy sites during the pilgrimage season.

The expatriates involved in the violations will face deportation and a ban from entering the Kingdom for 10 years after serving their sentences. Furthermore, the ministry has sought legal measures for the confiscation of the vehicles used to transport the violators, emphasizing the seriousness of the offenses and the commitment to maintaining security and order during Hajj.
