Madinah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah Region has issued the operational plan for the Hajj season of 1447 AH across the entire region, as part of early preparations to enhance the readiness of ambulance services provided to pilgrims, in line with the approved comprehensive operational plans.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority's Branch in Madinah Region Dr. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Zahrani indicated that the plan aims to provide emergency medical and ambulance services for visitors to the Prophet's Mosque and the roads leading to Madinah. He noted that its implementation begins at the start of Dhul-Qi'dah and continues until the 15 of Muharram 1448 AH, ensuring coverage of all stages of pilgrims' arrival and departure.

He pointed out that the plan includes the operation of 10 operational sectors, with a workforce exceeding 90 ambulance units. He noted these comprise 54 ambulance vehicles and 27 rapid intervention teams of various types, operating through motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, golf carts, and Rufaidah electric vehicles, in addition to specialized response vehicles for disasters and multiple injury incidents.

All are equipped with the latest medical equipment and technologies, alongside full readiness for air ambulance services to support critical cases and ensure their urgent transfer, Dr. Al-Zahrani said. He also said that the implementation of the plan involves more than 700 personnel from ambulance, technical, and administrative cadres, working within an integrated system to ensure rapid response and high performance.

Field coverage is reinforced inside the Prophet's Mosque and in the surrounding courtyards, in line with operational density requirements, Dr. Al-Zahrani noted.
