Riyadh: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on business establishments subject to value-added tax (VAT) whose annual supplies exceed SAR 40 million to submit their tax returns for February by no later than March 31. According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA urged businesses to promptly file their returns via its website or mobile application to avoid late submission penalties, which range from 5% to 25% of the due tax amount. The authority also invited taxpayers seeking further information about VAT to contact its unified call center (19993), available 24/7, or to reach out through 'Ask ZATCA' on X (@Zatca_Care), email ([email protected]), or live chat on its official website. Value-added tax is one of the tax systems in force in the Kingdom and is an indirect tax imposed on most goods and services purchased and sold by establishments, with certain exceptions.
