ZATCA Welcomes First Iraqi Pilgrims at Jadidat Arar Border Crossing

Jadidat arar: The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) received today at the Jadidat Arar border crossing in Northern Borders Region the first group of pilgrims arriving from the Republic of Iraq, through integrated capabilities aimed at providing seamless and high-quality services to the guests.

According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA confirmed it had completed preparations early at the Jadidat Arar port through a comprehensive ecosystem of customs services designed to facilitate entry procedures for pilgrims arriving from Iraq. The Hajj terminal at the crossing spans 9,000 square meters, with a capacity exceeding 20,000 pilgrims and more than 400 buses daily.

The authority has allocated 94 passport counters and 13 designated inspection areas, in addition to facilities for health services provided by the Ministry of Health and all relevant security sectors, ensuring unified efforts and integrated operations to enhance service quality.

ZATCA added that, through its operational plan for the Hajj season across all land, sea, and air customs ports, it aims to deliver the highest level of customs services to pilgrims, in line with the leadership's directives to facilitate their entry and provide comprehensive services from arrival until safe departure.
